Im just running the game as normal and selecting CREATE SERVER
the 2fort map loads. I pick my character and then type in the console addbot but nothing works
Its not for a deticated server. What am I doing wrong.
The directory you told me to instal it to, In my Team Fortress Classic Folder It should have a folder in it called FOXBOT yes?? Coz thats what Ive got.

Yeah, did you download the bot from my site? If so, it extracts & creates the FoxBot folder & sub-folders. Also, you are running windows right? cuz i don't know Linux.. Ahh, steam allways overwrites the liblist.gam file. Do this - one.xthost.info/fig/running/index.htmlBut add this line: -dll ..\foxbot\foxbot.dll There is a space between -dll & ..\foxbot\foxbot.dll try that & then addbot when you get in.

Hmmm, the FoxBot site dll works. But it has no folder structure. Try mine: one.xthost.info/fig/downloads/index.htmlExtract to: C:\Internet\Steam\SteamApps\smurfboy\team fortress classic\ It will make the FoxBot folder & the sub folders. Everything in the rar is Current! Here's how it is on mine:

Ok, here's what you do. Download this program: rapidshare.de/files/27899644/FoxBot_mini_gui.rar.htmlIt's the FoxBot Mini GUI, this is an easier early version (2002) made by Goat_ropeR from FoxBot team. There is an included help manual. How to install: 1) extract it to your FoxBot folder. 2) run it 3) it will ask where FoxBot is at for registry key. 4) browse to your FoxBot Folder! 5) goto the "Info/Help" tab 6) in the lower left it say's "Info Dump". Check the 4 boxes there. img238.imageshack.us/img238/5655/20060802074621tf4.jpg7) click button that says "Start Info Dump". 8) it will create a folder on your desktop with the information i need to see what the problem you are having is. 9) zip the files & upload to here: www.uploadtemple.com/Post the link to where the download is when you get that uploaded. Don't upload to Rapidshare.. I only have free account & allways downloading from it.. hehe --------------------------------------------------------- Hopefully i can figure out the answer to your problem!

Ive reset the gui in the ifo section and when it asks for the FOXBOT.dll i direct it to it and it says it aint there, man its getting on my goat. I hope you can fix teh problem. Thank you so much for helping

In the HTML reports it say's (Mod Installed: Can't find TFC DLL!). Did you correct that? If it's correct, it should say: (Mod Installed: TFC)
Also, you said you downloaded my current version of FoxBot from my site? Looking at the version shown in the foxbot mini gui, thats wrong. Your's say's (FoxBot Installed: 0.697.7.0) It should be (FoxBot Installed: 0.698.0.0)
If you run that version under steam, the engineer's will start to build an sg & stop, then start, then stop.. etc. etc. ;D
Is you steam installation correct? Can you play online? And somehow you didn't extract the rar from my site correctly. so i'm guessing that none of the correct files are in the right folder.

Yeah em i think i made a boob somewhere, with the version thats on you're site the GUI wont load, It asks for the FoxBot.dll I direct it to It and it says it isnt there. so I put the one on from the Foxbot site. Sorry I boobed. I noticed that myself about the cfg not being able to be found, but tnh I didnt know how to fix that. Ive removed steam and everything else with it and started from scratch. Going to install FOXBOT again. (From your site) This Is were im confused you wrote This is my game folder, this is where FoxBot needs to be installed to. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\southpork_server@cox.net\team fortress classic\FoxBot\ As for your's: C:\Internet\Steam\SteamApps\smurfboy\team fortress classic\FoxBot\ now if i extract it do I just select C:\Internet\Steam\SteamApps\smurfboy\team fortress classicand it will create a FOXBOT folder in that directory so it will NOW be C:\Internet\Steam\SteamApps\smurfboy\team fortress classic\FoxBot\its just coz i done it and ended up with 2 foxbot folders. I know it sounds daft but ive gotta ask coz these thing are so stupid and sometimes THATS WHAT IT IS Look Ill give it a bash starting from scratch, Im gonna install FOXBOT rite now ill let u know whats happening FROM THE PAIN IN THE ARSE AND USELESS SOD SMURFBOY

Great! A complete re-install sounds good! Yes, it will make the foxbot folder. The rar has the predefined paths so it'll extract the foxbot main folder & sub folders.
You can put the mini gui in the foxbot folder. But only use the info dump if you think there's a problem! The whole "Server Status" tab of the program is somewhat worthless. At least at this point for you until i have a chance to explain what to look for & how to use it. Because it was mainly created for the old Serria\Half-Life (WON) days.. It works ok for steam, but you just have to know whats going to happen with different parts of the program before you decide to really use it. Because if you modify a file & then tell it to save, it will overwrite any new cvars you add to it. So if you download my modified foxbot files & then use the programs save feature, you will kill my modified lines that compliament the Final version. I will make a better tutorial on what to expect & how to use it more effciently. Plus, the one i gave you has way less than the final build. The final build can do much more. But of course comes with no help & is more buggy if you don't know what your doing. Anyways, i'm rambling... Re-Install & then we'll go from there!
